Advantages of coal mine support mesh

1. Friction does not easily generate static electricity. In the underground coal mine environment, the average surface resistance of the plastic mesh is below 1×10⁹ Ω.

2. Good flame retardant properties. It melts but does not burn in an open flame environment, and even if it burns, it extinguishes within 10 seconds.

3. Strong corrosion resistance and anti-aging properties.

4. Easy to construct and transport. The plastic mesh is relatively soft, unlikely to scratch workers during construction, and has the advantages of being easy to roll and bundle, cut, and lightweight, thus facilitating underground transportation, carrying, and construction.

5. Facilitates coal washing. This type of plastic mesh has a density between 0.89 and 0.91, which is less than the density of water. During coal washing, broken mesh pieces float in the water and are easily washed away.

6. It has strong load-bearing capacity in both longitudinal and transverse directions. After being treated with pressure and stretching processes, the molecular structure of the plastic mesh is essentially rearranged, and the tensile strength of the material is 2-3 times that before stretching. The ribs and tendons formed by biaxial stretching are perpendicular to each other. This structure allows the pressure applied to the mesh surface to be effectively transmitted to the surrounding ribs through the nodes, thereby greatly improving the overall load-bearing capacity of the mesh surface and making it less prone to rib breakage. Moreover, because this plastic mesh is biaxially stretched rather than woven, the mesh creep is small, and the mesh size is uniform, which can effectively prevent the falling of coal fragments. Therefore, coal mine support mesh can effectively protect the safety of underground workers and ensure the safe and smooth operation of mine cars.
